Found on the label of a CD from a professional photographer:
"All photos are copywritten."

It's not just misspelled, it's misconjugated :-)

Heard on the Metro...
From the conductor/announcer: "If you see a passenger leave a bag or package behind, try to find out whose it is, or notify myself."

I hate, hate, hate that! What is that, a fancier version of "me"? I hear it all of the time, and it drives me nuts. Other examples: "If you have any questions, ask ____ or myself." "She was there, along with [other name(s)] and myself."

It is now necessary to sign a loyalty oath to the Republican Party and George W. Bush in order to enter a Dick Cheney rally. I'm serious. Check out a piece of the oath:

"I, ____________, do herby endorse George W. Bush for reelection of the United States."

Apostrophes Abound
Hi, there. I found your community through a friend's livejournal and felt compelled to join. What an excellent idea; I'm a grammar stickler, so anything that looks even remotely gramatically incorrect causes me physical pain.

A few streets away from me is a doughnut shop, with the name Cafe Twist Donut's proudly emblazoned on the banner above the door. When the shop first opened I had to do a double-take. I just couldn't believe it. Now every time I drive by I feel the powerful urge to shudder.

Just thought I'd share.

Great community here, guys!

On Snapple bottle cap: "William Shakespeare was born and died on this date: April 23."

Why not just say, "William Shakespeare died on his birthday," if you want to get that point across? He sure didn't have enough time to write all those plays and sonnets if he only lived one day!

Sign I saw in the window of a furniture store yesterday...
"Going out for business!" (Is that like "going out for a drink"?) LOL.

I approve of this community.

EDIT: Irony ahoy! There's a grammatical error in the community's userinfo!

It was a question posed to Incubus on some fan-site my friend was on.
